22 YEARS

When I was about 4 years old I started hiding my moms birth-control pills. I wanted a little brother. Just about a year later here came Luke. I loved him. My very own brother. But who knew having a little brother is the biggest pain in the ass you’ll ever experience. Luke was a difficult kid. But I was the one that understood him. From picking him up from Day care to dragging him through the grocery store we’ve of course had our fair share of knock down drag out fights. But we always loved each other. And no matter how mad I was or how mad he was at the other one, we’d team up together to protect the other one. (Mom’s Antique Buddha Statue, many more instances too) Growing up without a father we learned to depend on each other, we taught each other how to be a man. Even though neither of us really knew. I was always tough on Luke, (though don’t let him tell you he made life easy for me) and I only wanted the best for him. But Luke was never the kid that could learn from others mistakes. He had to burn his hand and cut his own face to realize how bad an idea that was. He’s been through some tough times and has turned out to be a great man. I’ve enjoyed watching him grow up and take pride in all his accomplishments. There are great things in store for him and I cant wait to see them come true.
